Prevention of Blindness (POB) Trust Eye Hospitals Karachi, a project of Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA). It works for the control of blindness among visually impaired people, achieving several precious awards from reputable institutes around the Globe. POB’s primary aim is to encourage and maintain campaigns by arranging free Eye camps at national and international level against all forms of preventable blindness and preserving sight. POB began its operations in May 2015 as a basic Eye Care Hospital which only used to treat cataract patients, since then it has transformed into tertiary eye care facility setting new standards for charitable eye hospitals. Patients are examined on modern and hi tech equipment and expensive and complicated surgeries including Vitreo Retina(VR), Corneal Transplant, Squint, Oculoplastic and many more are performed at the POB Eye Hospital, facilitating more than 600 patients on daily basis and operating more than 2000 patients on monthly basis with increasing influx day by day. POB provides latest but most expensive laser treatment free of cost including YAG, DIODE and PASCAL GREEN. The diagnostic facilities including B-Scan, OCT, OCT+A, FFA, Perimetery, Specular Microscopy and Fundus Camera all are available under one roof.
